The driver in any Fleet 8 High Point Series race must be member of the national J105 class. Members that live in Southern California must also be a member of Fleet 8 as well. The member must be either the owner, co-owner, or "Other Helmsman/Long Term Shipmate" as stated under Class Rules 3.3 & 3.4.

Use the Fleet 8 membership application to pay both the national J105 Class dues and Local Fleet 8 dues together. Instructions are on the 2005 Membership Application.
An Associate Member applicant will be eligible as a "Driver" under Class Rules 3.3 & 3.4 for J105 Fleet 8 2005 High Point Series regattas if their application contains required supporting information and signatures, is submitted three weeks before the first 2005 regatta raced and is accepted and dues are collected by the Fleet 8 Membership Committee. Class Rule 3.3 defines Co-Owner and Class Rule 3.4 and the related TCI defines "Other Helmsman/Long Term Shipmate". For example, if you are racing at the MidWinters regatta, then your application must be receved by January 21st!!!
For each High point race, 3 forms must be filed with Karen Yingling.
